This quintessential Bavarian festival brings the world’s beer lovers to one central location for a sixteen-day party in Munich. The historical significance of this festival dates back to 1810, which the betrothal of Princess Theresa to King Ludwig I. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event.

The modern version of Oktoberfest has an average of 6 million attendees and it known as the world’s largest people’s fair. The 2007 festival will begin on September 22 and end on the 7th of October.
